2003SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE WINE COMPETITION
The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition is open to all commercial bonded wineries with wines bottled or grapes produced from California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho wine regions. In 2004 a record breaking 565 California wineries entered more that 2,500 wine entries for the competition, and those numbers grow every year.

2001LONG BEACH GRAND CRU WINE COMPETITION

The Long Beach Grand Cru has received accolades as the "up-and-coming" competition of the millennium. The major public tasting event attracts more than 1,100 wine and food aficionados every August.

CINCINNATI INTERNATIONAL WINE FESTIVAL

Fifteen years young and aging like a fine wine, the Cincinnati International Wine Festival is a grand celebration of wine, food and music. It features more than 600 wines from 120 wineries accompanied by great food and live music.

NEW WORLD INTERNATIONAL WINE COMPETITION

Jerry D. Mead's New World International Wine Competition was established in 1990. It was his desire to establish a wine competition that, for the first time in America and perhaps the world, to pit the best wines from each price class against each other resulting in a Best of Variety award.

CALIFORNIA STATE FAIR WINE COMPETITION

The first California State Fair was established in 1854 to enhance the State's reputation in agriculture and recognize California's commercially important vintners and grape growers. In 2000 a panal of 48 judges sampled 2,075 wines from 388 of California's finest wineries, and the event only grows more with each passing year.

SAN DIEGO NATIONAL WINE COMPETITION

The judges of the SDNWC include winemakers, wine writers, educators, wine trade professionals, and wine enthusiasts with experience and proven proficiency judging wine. Most are veterans of the SDNWC and other recognized competitions. While it became the third-largest wine competition in the nation with more than 2,700 entries in 2003, and it's still growing!

GRAND HARVEST AWARDS

The Grand Harvest Awards is a unique wine judging that spotlights American viticultural regions by identifying the most outstanding wines from these areas. The 2005 event judged over 1,300 entries from both the United States and Canada, and a few from overseas.

THE DALLAS MORNING NEWS WINE COMPETITION

The Dallas Morning News Wine Competition was established in 1985 in order to provide consumers with a gudie to high quality wines. For the 2005 competition, they received 3,064 entries. They had 49 judges who awarded 1,136 medals.
