2001SAN FRANCISCO CHRONICLE WINE COMPETITION

The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition is open to all commercial bonded wineries with wines bottled or grapes produced from California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho wine regions. In 2004 a record breaking 565 California wineries entered more that 2,500 wine entries for the competition, and those numbers grow every year.

PACIFIC RIM INTERNATIONAL WINE COMPETITION

As one of the largest and most respected wine competitions in the west, the Pacific Rim International Wine Competition receives entries from throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, and New Zealand. The Pacific Rim International Wine Competition has grown from approximately 100 entries in 1985 to over 2200 entries in 2005.

GRAND HARVEST AWARDS

The Grand Harvest Awards is a unique wine judging that spotlights American viticultural regions by identifying the most outstanding wines from these areas. The 2005 event judged over 1,300 entries from both the United States and Canada, and a few from overseas.

NEW WORLD INTERNATIONAL WINE COMPETITION

Jerry D. Mead's New World International Wine Competition was established in 1990. It was his desire to establish a wine competition that, for the first time in America and perhaps the world, to pit the best wines from each price class against one another.

INTERNATIONAL EASTERN WINE COMPETITION

The IEWC was established in 1975 to judge and promote all wines marketed in the United States and Canada. Today, it is one of the largest and most competitive tastings in North America, topping over 2,300 entries in recent years with wines from 16 countries and 34 states.
